Special Equestrians operates on the campus of Indian Springs School www.indiansprings.org in north Shelby County. Our facilities include a 12-stall barn, a covered arena, an open arena, and roughly 8 acres of land for pastures and paddocks. A sensory trail winds through a stand of trees in the lower pasture, providing an alternative teaching environment to the arenas, and nearby woods and a large field offer trail riding opportunities for classes. A "People Paddock" adjacent to the barn gives riders' families a special place from which they can watch classes and where siblings can play.
Indian Springs School generously allows us the use of the facilities rent-free. We pay for utilities and for all maintenance, repair, and improvements, but are very fortunate to have such supportive hosts.
